Introducing Denise, the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery’s newly named bat-eared fox.
Denise joins the Discovery Zoo animals from San Diego Zoo Safari Park. She was born in April and came to Dayton in May.
The naming was made possible by a donation from the Hale family at the Museum’s Bash Silent Auction in September. Denise joins the Discovery Zoo as a companion for 13-year-old male bat-eared fox, Wyatt. Nellie the fox died in January at age 16.

Boonshoft’s Discovery Zoo inclused over 100 animals and insects, ranging from river otters, to meerkats, to Patience the Sloth to birds and reptiles.
