Cox said they will contain purr-worthy elements.
“There will be an over abundance of cat toys,” she said.

She and her partners sought a recommendation from the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals before deciding on the size of the cat lounge rooms.
“We wanted to make sure (the cats) had even more room than they recommended,” Cox said.

Visitors will be able to go into the cat lounges and see into them from the roughly 1,000-square-foot separated cafe space.
Twelve cats — 10 adoptable through a partnership with Humane Society of Greater Dayton — will have the run of the cat rooms and the business’ staff only basement.
The upstairs will be used for events.

Cox said she and her partners are seeing a variance from the Dayton Board of Zoning for the $100,000 project and hope to open in May or the beginning of June.
Demo work has been done and construction is set to start next week, she said.
