The Barrel House beer pub in downtown Dayton is poised to start building a patio just outside its front entrance after obtaining approval for the project from the city.
“Buildout starts Monday,” Barrel House owners Gus Stathes and Sara Levin told this news outlet. “We’re hoping to have it done in about a week, maybe two, depending on weather. We’re thirsty for this thing!”
The patio will be relatively small and will not have tables.
“We’ll have a drink rail along the perimeter and some stools, with room for maybe 10 folks comfortably,” the bar’s owners said. Stathes and Levin are researching the legalities of making the patio dog-friendly.
