The 2019 edition of the 11th annual Employees' Choice Awards, honoring the "Best Places to Work," is compiled by Glassdoor.com, a job and recruiting web site. The awards are based on the input of employees who voluntarily provide anonymous feedback, by completing a company review about their job, work environment and employer over the past year.

The awards this year includes  chains such as Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, Trader Joe’s and Costco Wholesale.

Raising Cane’s entered the Dayton market in June 2017 on Miamisburg-Centerville Road east of the Dayton Mall, and added its second local restaurant earlier this fall across from The Greene Town Center in Beavercreek. Trader Joe’s operates a story in the Town & Country Shopping Center in Kettering, and Costco Wholesale operates a store in the Cornerstone of Centerville development.

“I am extremely proud that Raising Cane’s has earned this national recognition from Glassdoor,” Todd Graves, the chicken chain’s founder and CEO, said in the release. “From the very beginning, we wanted to create a great place to work where our crew members can have a lot of fun while working hard. We’ve created a culture of appreciation and that, in turn, is why our crew members love what they do and why our customers receive industry-leading service.”

Andrew Chamberlain, chief economist for Glassdoor, said in a release, “In today’s tight labor market, job seekers are in the driver’s seat when it comes to deciding where to work and they want to know the inner workings of a company before accepting a new job. To help people find the best jobs and the best companies, the Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Awards recognize employers at the top of their game.”
