Prepare to experience one of New York’s favorite burgers just a short drive from Dayton.
The Cleveland Plain Dealer reported that Shake Shack opened its first Ohio location near Cleveland in June.
Even better than that, the Columbus Dispatch reported that the chain plans to open a 3,500-square-foot restaurant a hop, skip and a jump away from here at Easton Town Center in Columbus early next year.
The restaurant that got its start in 2001 as a hot dog cart in New York’s Madison Square Park has grown to have more than 160 locations worldwide, including stores in Russia, Turkey, Oman, Japan and Qatar.
Billed as “a modern day ‘roadside’ burger stand,” Shake Shack has locations in 22 states and the District of Columbia.
Its fans praise it for its burgers, shakes, hot dogs, craft beer, frozen custard and crinkle-cut french fries.
The Cleveland-area Shake Shack is be located at 311 Park Avenue in Orange Village.
According to the Dispatch article, an exact location for the restaurant set to open at Easton has not been announced.
