Dayton Burger Week profits to help support Oregon District fund

If you like burgers and a good deal, this week is your lucky week.

The second annual Dayton Burger Week is set for Aug. 5-11. Following the tragic mass shooting that took place on early Sunday in Dayton’s Oregon District, CityBeat, organizers of Dayton’s Burger Week said it will be making a donation to the Dayton Oregon District Tragedy Fund

Five-dollar burgers are being offered at more than 20 Dayton-area restaurants. 

New entries include EO Burgers at The Greene; Freddy's Frozen Custard and Steakburgers; MacKenzie River Pizza, Grill and Pub; Nick’s Restaurant; Smokin Bar-B-Que; Stacked Pickle; Tank's Bar and Grill; The Pub; The Rootbeer Stande; Warped Wing Brewing Company; Watermark and Wing Sports Bar and Grille.

“Our hearts are with all of those affected by the senseless act of violence that occurred this past weekend. We’ve discussed with many of the restaurants involved in Dayton Burger Week and they wish to continue the promotion in an effort to continue to bring the community together,” read a posting by CityBeat

Prepare your taste buds for a juicy, meaty week of deals. 

The second annual Dayton Burger Week is set for Aug. 5- 11 at a list of 17 Dayton-area restaurants.

Ten eateries participated in the inaugural event from Cincinnati CityBeat, a Euclid Media Group newspaper, and The Ohio Beef Council.

Nick's Restaurant: a 7oz. Hand spanked beef patty cooked to perfection with pickled red onion, pepper-jack cheese, and topped with house made horseradish bbq sauce.

Burgers will cost $5 each. Extra items like French fries will be sold at an additional cost.

Diners will be given Dayton Burger Week passports to get stamped at participating restaurants. 

The event is patterned after Cincinnati Burger Week, which is set for July 15-21 in the Queen City at more than 50 restaurants.  

That burger week launched in 2015.

Those with at least three stamps will be eligible for a grand-prize drawing that includes gifts cards and an ultimate grill out.

Mudlick Tap House The OG: a 1/3 lb. Blackhawk Farms Beef Patty on brioche piled with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle with melted cheddar.
