WINNER: Tank’s Bar & Grill

Tank’s seemingly has it all.

If you need somewhere to fill up practically any time of day or night, you can have breakfast, lunch, dinner or drinks at this Dayton bar and restaurant.

Menu favorites include the Road Kill chili (whether on a bowl, on a dawg or atop fries), the Tankburger, My Way Grilled Cheese (Swiss, cheddar, provolone, American, lettuce, tomato, banana peppers, mayo, mustard, and horseradish, on dark rye)

The all-day breakfast menu includes a 10-egg omelet, The Gambler (omelet, two pancakes, one slab of French toast, and choice of smoked cherrywood bacon, ham or sausage, and hash browns), the Jack and Jill (five silver dollar pancakes and two sausages) and the Country Gentleman — three eggs, meat, toast and hash browns.

Best of Dayton voters showered love on Tank’s Bar and Grill, the iconic eatery at 2033 Wayne Ave. founded by the late Dan Tankersley in 1987.

Tank’s won or placed in more contests than any other contestant of any sort.

Against stiff competition, the bar and grill nabbed seven first-place wins and one second-place win.
