Oakwood actor nominated for Tony Award

He’s done it again!

Oakwood's Micah Stock is making news again. This time, he has been nominated for a Tony Award.

Stock has been nominated for “Best Featured Actor in a Play.”

Stock, who grew up in Oakwood and was a Muse Machine star in his high school years, is part of an all-star cast of “It’s Only A Play.” The comedy by Terrance McNally starred six theatrical luminaries when it opened on Broadway in October: F. Murray Abraham, Matthew Broderick, Stockard Channing, Rupert Grint, Nathan Lane and Megan Mullally. Originally slated for a 17-week engagement, the comedy got terrific reviews and its run was extended.

"It's been an incredible amount of fun, and each one of them could hold the show on their own," Stock told the Dayton Daily News when the show opened. "They are hysterical people, genius comedians. It takes a lot of energy not to burst out laughing. But they are all extremely warm and friendly people, and they've treated me like a peer — which I've appreciated beyond belief."

The Tony Awards air on Sunday, June 7, on CBS.
