Qdoba Mexican Grill shuts down its Beavercreek restaurant

A new location is poised to open on Ohio 725, and another is coming in Beavercreek, following two closures in two months

***UPDATE (Sept. 10, 2019)***

Qdoba Mexican Grill has shut down its Beavercreek restaurant and is working to open its relocated restaurant on Miamisburg-Centerville Road east of the Dayton Mall in the coming days, employees said.

A commercial Realtor working for Qdoba’s Dayton-area franchisee said a new location also is in the works in Beavercreek.

Visitors to the Beavercreek location at 2781 Centre Drive across from the Mall at Fairfield Commons late last week were met with a locked door and a sign that said, “We have moved to 1524 Miamisburg-Centerville Road, our new location! We will be coming soon to our new location in Beavercreek.”

But the new location at 1524 Miamisburg-Centerville Road was not open last week, and it still was not open as of Monday, Sept. 9. Workers were busy moving supplies into the new store, however, and one said the restaurant is ready to open as soon as it passes final inspections. Qdoba shut down its previous Dayton Mall-area location at 2008 Miamisburg-Centerville Road in late July.

Messages left last month and this week for the franchise owners for Dayton-area Qdoba locations have not been returned.

The fast-casual restaurant at 2008 Miamisburg-Centerville Road (Ohio 725) has signed a lease to relocate to 1524 Miamisburg-Centerville Road (Ohio 725) at Washington Village Drive in Miami Twp., according to Danielle Kuehnle, commercial realtor and director of new development, sales and leasing for Oberer Realty Services.

The Qdoba franchisee signed a 10-year lease for a 2,312 square feet space in a retail development that formerly housed a fitness center, Kuehnle said. The former fitness center is being subdivided into new tenant spaces.

Kuehnle represented the landlord in the new-restaurant lease agreement. Robert Zavakos, senior vice president of the commercial real estate firm NAI Bergman, represented the Qdoba franchisee. Qdoba officials could not be reached for comment.
