The best places to get game-day grub a short walk from the Dragons ballpark

Sometimes a stadium dog with mustard and ketchup isn’t enough to hold you over until the ninth inning. 

Luckily, Dayton has plenty of delicious grub close enough to grab in time for the first pitch at Fifth Third Field or after the game.

This is pretty much as close as it gets. You can’t miss Lock 27 located beneath the Delco Lofts, right next to the ballpark’s main gates.

Their broad range of house beers make Lock 27 the perfect pit stop before the game begins. Not to mention a huge menu that includes a smoked brisket sandwich.

Offering an upscale casual bistro right on the river, this restaurant has been impressing the palettes of downtown Dayton since Basil’s opening in 2016.
