Cold, windy with chance of snow, rain

A cold front moving into the area will bring scattered snow showers, possibly mixing with rain, through midnight as temperatures fall into the 30s.

Wind gusts, with some as high as 29 mph, will make temperatures in the mid- to lower 30s feel like the mid- to lower 20s. The winds will gradually decrease as the night goes on, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Clouds will decrease overnight as temperatures fall below freezing to around 26 degrees. Little to no snow accumulation is expected, the NWS said.

Skies will be mostly sunny for the first day of November, It will remain chilly with the high temperature around 45 degrees.

Wednesday night will be mostly clear with lows again dropping below freezing to around 27 degrees.

Temperatures will rise a little on Thursday, with highs reaching around 51 degrees under mostly sunny skies.

On Thursday night, skies will be partly cloudy, and although the NWS predicts a cold night, temperatures are expected to stay a few degrees above freezing, with lows around 35 degrees.
