Rainy, but warmer than normal Tuesday

Mild, above-average temperatures are expected this week, with showers possible starting Tuesday.

Today’s high reached 44 degrees in Dayton, 47 in Cincinnati and 39 in Columbus, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Tonight will be mostly cloudy, with the low temperature around 38 degrees.

Rain is possible Tuesday, mainly between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Otherwise, it will be cloudy and much warmer with a high near 54 degrees. Southwest winds of 14 to 16 mph are expected, with gusts as high as 28 mph possible.

Tuesday night will be mostly cloudy, with a low just above freezing. A west wind of 5 to 11 mph will become northwest after midnight.

It will be partly sunny and calm with a high near 51 degrees for Wednesday, which has a slight chance of showers after 2 p.m., and again mainly after 8 p.m. Wednesday night. It will be breezy with winds increasing to 16 to 21 mph after midnight, with gusts as high as 31 mph. The overnight low will be 45 degrees.

Highs will be near 60 degrees for Thursday, which will be windy with showers mainly before 2 p.m. Skies will be mostly cloudy Thursday night with a low around 36.

Skies remain mostly cloudy for Friday, which will be cooler but still above normal with a high near 47 degrees. There is a chance of showers between 2 and 8 p.m. Friday night will be mostly cloudy and cold with a low around 29 degrees.
