Sunny, warm this weekend before rain returns Monday

It will be mostly sunny and warm this weekend before rain returns Monday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Today highs will be around 80 degrees under mostly sunny skies, followed by a mostly clear night with lows around 56 degrees.

There will be a few more clouds on Sunday, and temperatures will be a little warmer with highs around 84 degrees. It will be mostly clear overnight with a low around 64 degrees.

On Monday, clouds will gradually increase starting before dawn, leading to cloudy skies in the afternoon.

A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms will start around noon, but increase as the day goes on, making rain likely around the evening commute with a chance for isolated storms.

The rain will continue throughout the night, though rain chances will dip leading up to dawn on Tuesday.

Temperatures will again be warm, with a high around 86 degrees and a low around 66 degrees.
