Today is warmest of the week; snow possible over weekend

Today is the warmest of the week, with highs in the upper 40s, before possible snow for Sunday.

The high for today reached 46 in Dayton, 49 in Cincinnati and 44 in Columbus, according to the National Weather Service.

For those who have not yet taken down outdoor Christmas decorations, today will be one of the last days in the near future that will be dry and with above normal temperatures.

More clouds move in for tonight, which will have an overnight low around 30 degrees.

It will be mostly cloudy Thursday but not as warm with a high in the lower 40s.

Thursday night will be mostly cloudy with an overnight low around 28 degrees.

Skies will be mostly cloudy Friday but chillier to end the workweek with a high around 35 degrees.

Friday night will be mostly cloudy with an overnight low around 20 degrees.

Saturday will be mostly cloudy and chillier with the high temperature below freezing, near 30 degrees. Skies stay mostly cloudy Saturday night, which will have an overnight low in the low 20s.

There is a chance for snow before 4 p.m. Sunday, then a chance of rain and snow. Otherwise, it will be partly sunny with a high near 34 degrees.
