Red Lobster's one-millionth loyalty rewards member is from Dayton

This is one instance where loyalty paid off — and handsomely.

Sherry Joseph of Harrison Twp. didn’t know it at the time, but when she signed up for the “My Red Lobster Rewards” loyalty program recently, she became the restaurant chain’s one-millionth loyalty rewards member.

That’s something to celebrate, Red Lobster officials decided.

So on Saturday, at Red Lobster’s Miller Lane restaurant in Butler Twp., Joseph was awarded a check for “Free Red Lobster For a Year,” valued at $2,000, during a surprise reveal, according to a spokeswoman for the restaurant chain.

Joseph “was joined by family and friends for an exciting evening filled with delicious food, an engaging culinary demonstration” and the check presentation, the Red Lobster spokeswoman said.

Orlando, Florida-based Red Lobster operates more than 700 restaurants in the U.S. and Canada, including locations in the Dayton area: 8200 Springboro Pike (Ohio 741) near the Dayton Mall, 2803 N. Fairfield Road near the Mall at Fairfield Commons in Beavercreek, and the Miller Lane restaurant where Saturday’s event took place.
